Tsao Foundation, has appointed Ms Geraldyn Lim as its Chief Executive Officer with effect from 26 August 2026. The announcement follows a comprehensive search by the Foundation.
Tsao Foundation’s research is grounded in real lives, real communities, and real questions about how we can age well in a rapidly changing world. Through ILC-Singapore, our research and thought leadership platform, we generate and share practice-based insights that connect lived experience with policy, systems design and public discourse.
Ms Lim joins Tsao Foundation with more than 28 years of leadership experience across Singapore’s public and social sectors. The Foundation said her management experience, understanding of the social sector and collaborative leadership style would guide it through its next phase of growth as it continues to advance its mission of enabling seniors to age well.
Over the past 12 years, Ms Lim has held senior leadership roles at several established non-profit organisations, including the Singapore Cancer Society, Montfort Care and the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. She most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of ABLE (Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations).
Across those roles she has led organisations through growth and transformation, championing initiatives for seniors, persons with disabilities, people affected by cancer and the wider community, alongside work to develop the next generation of social sector leaders.
Before moving into the social sector, Ms Lim spent 16 years with the Singapore Government, including 13 years in international relations, trade and development at the Ministry of Trade & Development, the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. Her portfolio included Singapore’s free trade negotiations, its sustainability and climate change agenda, and international capacity-building work — experience the Foundation expects to strengthen its strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
In Memoriam: Professor Tetsuo Tsuji, President of ILC Japan
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Professor Tetsuo Tsuji on July 30, 2026. At the time of his passing, Professor Tsuji was President of ILC Japan and, until March 2026, a Professor at the Institute of Gerontology, University of Tokyo, one of Japan’s leading institutions for research on ageing.
