For years, we have shared information on Japan’s longevity society, including results of our research and events, mainly through reports and our website. To make it more flexible, accessible, and enjoyable, we have also started our blog as a new communication channel.
The International Longevity Center (ILC) Japan has challenged ageism since its foundation in 1990. We have promoted various activities to help achieve Productive Aging, the vision of the ILC Global Alliance as it aims to build a productive and creative society.
We have launched a blog in an attempt to provide information more flexibly from September,2024.
It will cover a broad range of topics, from recent experiences among Japanese seniors and what is great about Japan’s aged society to challenges and directions the country is facing and discussing. Each post will be brief and easy to read.
There are three main themes:

ANNOUNCEMENT: A new global partnership for healthy ageing
We are delighted to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding between the International Longevity Centre Global (ILC Global) and the International Federation on Ageing (IFA).

The 19th Public Health and Occupational Medicine (PHOM) Conference was held on 23-24 October 2025 in Singapore, attended by Ms Susana Concordo Harding, Senior Director of the International Longevity Centre Singapore (ILC-S), Tsao Foundation.

Human rights and health in old age - The role of cities and communities in Israel and abroad
ILC-Israel and the Center for Multidisciplinary Research in Aging (CMRA) organized a one-day conference entitled and unveiled a photo exhibition on 4 September 2025, at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
