We are delighted to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding between the International Longevity Centre Global (ILC Global) and the International Federation on Ageing (IFA).
This partnership marks an exciting step forward in our shared commitment to advancing the global healthy ageing agenda. Together, we aim to strengthen research, champion evidence-informed policy, and elevate the voices and rights of older people around the world.
With this MOU, our organisations will collaborate to:

✨ Co-host strategic dialogues and events
✨ Share knowledge and insights across our networks
✨ Engage in future-focused thinking on demographic, technological, and economic trends
Grounded in mutual respect, transparency, and a shared vision for a more age-inclusive world, this collaboration opens the door to new opportunities to shape impactful, forward-looking policy and practice in ageing.
We look forward to working closely together—leveraging ILC Global’s research excellence and IFA’s global convening power—to help create societies that enable all people to age with health, dignity, and purpose.

The ILC Global Alliance is a multinational consortium consisting of member organisations.
The mission of the ILC Global Alliance is to help societies to address longevity and population ageing in positive and productive ways, typically using a life course approach, highlighting older people’s productivity and contributions to family and society as a whole. The Alliance partners carry out the mission through developing ideas, undertaking research and creating fora for debate and action, in which older people are key stakeholders.
The International Federation on Ageing fondly known as “IFA” is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) whose members are government, NGOs, academia, industry, and individuals in nearly 80 countries. The IFA believes that all these members working together are essential to help shape and influence policy and good practices.
The IFA stands to drive the agenda for the world’s population ageing. We are proud to have general consultative status at the United Nations. The International Federation on Ageing is a non-State actor in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO). The IFA is nonpartisan and apolitical. We work across geography, culture, religion, and political ideology, reflecting a deep respect for diversity and inclusion. Guided by principles of fairness, respect, and equality, we work collaboratively across sectors, communities, and borders to champion the universal rights and opportunities of everyone to age with health and dignity.

In Memoriam: Professor Tetsuo Tsuji, President of ILC Japan
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Professor Tetsuo Tsuji on July 30, 2026. At the time of his passing, Professor Tsuji was President of ILC Japan and, until March 2026, a Professor at the Institute of Gerontology, University of Tokyo, one of Japan’s leading institutions for research on ageing.

ILC Singapore: Tsao Foundation appoints Geraldyn Lim as Chief Executive Officer
Tsao Foundation, has appointed Ms Geraldyn Lim as its Chief Executive Officer with effect from 26 August 2026. The announcement follows a comprehensive search by the Foundation.
