REGISTER HEREOlder people living with dementia are often talked about, not with. Decisions about their lives, care, and support are too often made without listening to them or recognising them as rightsholders.
As work begins on a UN Convention on the Rights of Older Persons, this Age With Rights Rally event —convened by Age Knowble—shines a light on a group of older persons whose experiences are shaped not only by gender, culture, and socio-economic circumstances, but also by the shared reality of living with dementia. The Rally creates space to identify the human rights principles that matter to this group, grounded in equal voices and equal rights, and informed by lived experience, human rights and policy insight, and practice-based knowledge from across regions.
Be part of the conversation: Register to take part in this timely Rally and help ensure that the human rights principles shaping the UN Convention reflect the realities and voices of older people living with dementia.
Accessibility & participation note: This online session welcomes people living with dementia. Cameras are invited to remain off, with participation mainly through the chat, to support inclusion and advocacy recording. Support persons are welcome.
Age Knowble is proud to be part of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People 2026 Age With Rights Global Rally. More information about the 2026 Global Rally is available here.
This event is organised by Age Knowble with promotional support from the ILC Global Alliance. Any queries regarding the event should be made to Age Knowble.
