Official solutions side event at the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha

AGE Platform Europe, German National Association of Senior Citizens’ Organisations (BAGSO), International Longevity Centre Global Alliance (ILC GA) and ILC-Canada, invite you to attend our official solutions side event for the Second World Summit for Social Development titled Longevity Levers: Unlocking strategies for a healthier, wealthier and more sustainable future.

The session will explore the Summit’s three thematic pillars: poverty eradication, full and productive employment and decent work, and advancing social integration viewed through the critical lens of longevity and demographic change.

No country is untouched by demographic change yet, governments worldwide have largely failed to address its profound impact.

The session will open with insights from ILC-UK’s Healthy ageing and Prevention Index, AGE Platform Europe’s AGE Barometers 2023 and 2025, and ILC-Canada’s Coalition Against Ageism, and Human Rights Policy Framework. Together our evidence will provide vital evidence to explore how we can help people worldwide live longer, healthier, more prosperous, and meaningful lives.

We will then run a cross-sectoral “future frameworks” workshop, exploring scenarios across the three themes, to co-create policy solutions that address demographic change and build a future-ready society.

We would be delighted if you could join us.

An agenda to be uploaded shortly.

If you would like to register, please contact: Arunima Himawan, ILC-UK Senior Health Policy and Research Manager, arunimahimawan@ilcuk.org.uk with your name, title and organisation.
