REGISTER HEREJoin ILC-UK for the launch event for their UK Better Life Index alongside their new interactive tool that tracks how well the UK are supporting better lives across the life course.
The Index brings together key measures of progress – including life expectancy, economic activity, and avoidable mortality – to track the best and worst places to be born, grow up and grow old across the UK.
At the launch, ILC-UK will demonstrate how the tool can be used to identify areas for intervention, highlight trends over time, and support policy for improving outcomes at every stage of life, in every place. This is an opportunity to explore the insights behind the data and consider how policy can shape a healthier happier future for everyone. The event will be hosted by M&G plc and supported by Hallmark Foundation.
The UK Better Lives Index is made possible by charitable support and grants from Edwards Lifesciences and Hallmark Foundation, and financial support has been provided to ILC-UK as a grant from Pfizer Ltd.

The UK index is modelled, in part, on the success of our Global Healthy Ageing and Prevention Index, which compares 153 countries across six factors of ‘successful’ ageing. Since its launch in 2023, the Global Index has engaged Ministers of Health and Finance across the world on the value of preventative health.
