Caregiver Training Examined in Southern California Conference (USA)
Do professional in-home caregivers receive proper training? The Caregiving Project for Older Americans examined who are the professional in-home caregivers in the United States and how they are trained at a consensus conference in May 2008, funded by the UniHealth Foundation.
The conference, to be held in Los Angeles, brought together ten distinguished caregiving experts to review caregiving curricula and training programs through the country. While the conference program was be national in scope, special emphasis was placed on Los Angeles and Orange Counties in Southern California, two of the most diverse and populous areas in the country.
