ILCSA engages in development of education and training to advance health service provision (South Africa Jul.08) ILCSA's Ferreira and Kalula, and ILCSA Associates Aboderin, Hoffman and Cassim are engaging with AFRAN colleagues in Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa to roll out projects agreed upon in a Policy-Research Dialogue held in Abuja, Nigeria in July 2008, towards advancing health service provision to, and combatting non-communicable disease among older persons in the sub-Saharan Africa sub-region. Specifically, the group is working to develop Africa-appropriate education and training in geriatric health care, in partnership with policy makers and planners, and tertiary institutions                 [ news index ]
