Activity Report in 2010 (ILC-South Africa)

1 ILC-South Africa will host the 2010 meetings of the ILC Global Alliance in Cape Town on October 24-27.

A view of central Cape Town, the V & A Waterfront and Table Mountain The venue for the meetings will be the BMW Pavilion Conference Centre at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. An international open symposium on "The globalisation of dementia: Issues and responses" will be held, as part of the meetings, at the venue on Tuesday 26 October. 3 "Adaptation of the Canadian Falls Prevention Curriculum in Developing Countries"

Sebastiana Kalula’s co-leadership of the project "Adaptation of the Canadian Falls Prevention Curriculum in Developing Countries" with researchers at the Centre of Excellence on Mobility, Fall Prevention and Injury in Aging (specifically, the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility) at the University of British Columbia in Victoria, Canada (Drs Vicky Scott, Karim Kahn and Maureen Ashe). Kalula will pilot the adapted curriculum in Cape Town.
