An Asia Pacific Roundtable on Elder Abuse was organized by ILC-I in collaboration with the Government of India, Western Australia, and others at Pune, India from April 20th to 22nd , 2007. It had participation from governments and NGOs of Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Israel and UNESCAP. A communiqué was issued at the end of the Roundtable.
ILC-I India hosted the annual Board Meeting of the Presidents of the ILCs in August 2006. A colloquium on the Status and Role of Women in an Ageing Society Papers was presented by the Presidents and there was an interactive discussion with the audience as well.
ILC-I conducted a workshop on Recreation for the Elderly in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in March 2007. This workshop came up with eight project ideas which will be explored by ILC-I and six other organizations.

・Crime against the elderly in the cities of Pune, Mumbai and Delhi.
・Demographic Profile of the elderly in India.
