Activity Report 2008-2009

We played a summary role at an important symposium on aging held by the U.S. National Academy of Science. Dr. Butler has also been asked to be the chair of the Council on Aging for the Davos Economic Forum. We continue to receive support for initiatives in caregiving, a worldwide problem, age discrimination and human rights.

  Activity Report 2008-2009

Due to worldwide and regional financial difficulties, which hadn’t able to be solved yet, ILC-ARG is finding difficulties to get enough funding to develop new projects for the near future.
Nevertheless we are hoping to start as soon as possible two different and new Research projects:

  • Old Age and Discrimination in Argentina
  • Perceptions of Human Rights with Elders and Health Professionals.
  • Started preparing a new” Train the Trainer Seminar
 
     
Netherlands

ILC-NL makes a valuable contribution to the social discussion regarding issues such as work, retirement and social activities, and achieves this by means of gatherings of experts and national meetings.
ILC-NL’s ambition for 2009 lies in strengthening the movement, for people who want to make the most of their future and the future of next generations.
