1 Paris-House of Parliament -16th Joint Parliamentary Meeting on Longevity - 16 November 2009.

The 16th Joint Parliamentary Meeting on Longevity had as theme this year: "Longevity at work: why such reluctance?" under the patronage of Bernard Accoyer (MP, President of Assemblee), Xavier Darcos (Minister of work) and the presence of Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Health. They are organized every year under the scientific Direction of the professor Françoise Forette and chaired by Denis Jacquat –MP-. The audience is around 200 people of policy, institutional representatives and geriatricians. 2 Paris- Unesco- First Week End of the “Etats Généraux” of Aging Well – 28/29 November 2009 –

ILC-France organized a round table Sunday, November 29, 2009 on "Longevity and Activity: Move, Love, Work!" during the first Week End of the “Etats Généraux” of Aging Well. Professor Françoise Forette was the scientific coordinator and Philip Gorny the facilitator. Guest speaker Philippe Bouvard- 80 years old, TV show producer. Other speakers: Jean-Pierre Wiedmer, Pr Sandrine Andrieu, Jocelyne de Rotrou, Dr Yasmine Lienard, Dr. S. Cascua, Pr.Thierry Lebret, Brigitte Lahaie and an interview of Frédéric Mitterrand Minister of Culture. The program and the conclusion of F. 3 Paris – House of Parliament - Parliamentary Group on Longevity

In response to the lack of accurate information of MP on the "Longevity Revolution" in our country, ILC-France has proposed to Denis Jacquat –MP- to create this group study on longevity. The co-chairmen of the group are Dr. Denis Jacquat-MP- and Mrs. Danièle Hoffman-Rispal-MP-.

The last 2009 hearings were:

- June 30 : “ French National Plan “Aging well” : consultation of longevity”. Dr Jean-Pierre Aquino, Geriatrician, President of the National Monitoring Committee Plan "Aging Well"

- October 6: "The future of pensions" Jean-Pierre Wiedmer, CEO of HSBC Insurance France

- November 3: "Nutrition and Longevity: a winning couple” Jean-Michel Borys,
Endocrinologist, nutritionist, co-founder and co-director of programs EPODE and PENSA

- December 1: " Is a “good life” compatible with a long life?"
Luc Ferry, philosopher, writer, former Minister of National Education.
